Q.  Do I definitely need a professional wedding photographer?

Yes absolutely…but then I would say that. In all seriousness though, wedding photography is not something that can be learned on a day. Whilst a friend may have good intentions and mean well, this can be a rocky path to take, for both you and your friend and can possibly damage relationships. Wedding photography requires a whole host of skills and the photographer must be well accomplished in these to be able to deal with many difficult situations such as challenging lighting conditions, rain, venue restrictions to name a few. It’s also possible the pressure involved in photographing a wedding will potentially spoil your friends’ day and god forbid…. your wedding photos.

Q.  When should I book my wedding photographer?

As a general rule it’s advisable to book your wedding photographer as soon as you have your venue booked and your date secured. However, by all means get in touch if you are organising your day in a short timescale as I may still be available.

Q.  How long will the photographs take?

Good question, this can largely depend on how many guests you have and how many group formals you require (normally 10-15 is plenty). I would safely leave 25-30 minutes for your group formals and then another 25-30 minutes for your wedding portraits. Of course any additional time found during the day can be used for additional photos and reportage photography will continue throughout the day.

Q.  Will I get my images on a disc?

Yes of course, and they will be free from any form of copyright so you will be able to print and share as you choose. All my packages come with a DVD of your images in high resolution and this can be upgraded to USB or DVD in a beautiful presentation folio.

Q.  How long does it take before we get to see our wedding photos?

I aim to get a sample selection of your images up onto the blog section of my website and social media platforms within 20 days from your wedding. Your full set of images will be ready within 60 days (can vary in very busy periods) on a password protected online gallery and of course I will post you your disc of images.

Q.  How far will you travel?

I am based in Cranwell, Lincolnshire and included in all packages is a 60 mile return trip at no extra charge. If you require me to travel further then no problem, we can discuss further at our meeting. I am also available for destination wedding photography and again, we can discuss this over a coffee should you be interested in having me as your wedding photographer.

Q.  If someone else enquires about the date we have requested but we haven’t yet booked will you contact us?

A booking is only secured with a signed agreement and deposit. So as a business its 1st come 1st served. It’s peace of mind and security for both of us.

Q.  How do we book?

Firstly we need to check I am available which you can do by emailing me via the contact page or call me on 07500 057323. We can then arrange a meeting where we can discuss your wedding over a coffee and of course is a good opportunity for you to view samples. A signed agreement is required along with a deposit. I am afraid I am unable to hold dates without this. If you are not at all local and wish to book me then this can all be done over email, telephone conversations and Skype.

Q.  How can we pay?

I accept online bank transfers, cheques and cash.

Q.  Does my wedding photographer require feeding?

Yes please… but feel free to pop me in a back room while you have your meal with your guests…it gives me a break too 🙂

Q.  Who designs our album?

I do. I always prefer to have another meeting to discuss various design themes, discuss album options and go through your chosen images. I then get to work designing your album and work with you to create your perfect album. Once your design is complete I email you a pdf layout, we can then make any tweaks before it goes to print.
